MIAMI (CBS4) – A sore foot Saturday kept Miami Heat center Zydrunas Ilgauskas from playing  against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Ilgauskas accidentally stepped on a nail at his home several days ago, getting punctured through his shoe. The injury was mild at first, and Ilgauskas played Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers without problems, but by Saturday he had an infection.

The infection became evident Friday and he was ruled out for Saturday.

The Heat hope he can be available Monday against San Antonio.

Ilgauskas is averaging 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds this season for the Heat.

Listen if he is unable to play that is what should happen he only has two (2) feet and they don’t grow back so he should take very good care of them and that is a fact.

  2. Jimbo99 says:

No wonder his feet are injured, He rarely gets to use them on the court for real game time action.

  3. Jimbo99 says:

How Ilgauskas goes from 14 ppg in Cleveland to 5 in Miami is a testament to the poor coaching and game plan Spoelstra brings every night. No wonder they can’t beat the best teams, they are playing with 2 1/2 players every game ?
