Miami Beach Worker Rescued After Scaffold Collapse

MIAMI BEACH – (CBS4) – A worker at a high-rise Miami Beach condominium had some scary moments Thursday afternoon when the scaffold he had been standing on suddenly collapsed, Miami Beach Police told CBS4.

The worker's fall was one level from the fourth to the third floor of the Castle Beach Club, 5445 Collins Avenue, police said.

It took rescuers several tense moments and a Miami Beach fire ladder to transfer him from the scaffold to the gurney.

The man, whose name was not immediately released, was transported to Jackson Memorial's Ryder Trauma Center just after 3 p.m.

Officials did not say what type of work he had been doing.
