Bicyclists Hit The Road For Tour De Cure

PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) – Hundreds of bicyclists will hit the road Sunday in western Broward County as part of the Southeast Florida Tour de Cure to benefit the American Diabetes Association.

The event, being staged at C.B. Smith Park in Pembroke Pines, features a trio of courses tailored for the occasional rider to the more experienced rider. The 35-mile route runs south of I-595 and west of Flamingo Road. The 62-mile course runs from Miramar Parkway to McNab Road. The 100-mile ride runs the entire county, from Miramar to Parkland.

Drivers in the western portions of Broward are urged to take caution along the events routes; riders are expected to be on routes until about 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
