MIAMI (CBS4) -- Kite Boarding has steadily gained popularity over the past 10 years and Miami's Crandon Park is a top 10 destination in the United States for the sport.

Kite Boarding is considered extreme because of the level of difficulty and skill it requires. It takes an average person about 6-8 hours of hard work to learn how to get up on and control a kite board.

After taking a few lessons, this week Jeff Berardelli sees if he has what it takes to conquer kite boarding.
