DEERFIELD BEACH (CBS4) – The discount grocery store chain ALDI is holding a job fair in Deerfield Beach on Monday to hire cashiers, shift managers, and store manager trainees for their new stores in Delray Beach, Tamarac, Miami Gardens, Westchester and Cutler Bay.

The job fair will be held at the ALDI Foods store in the 38 hundred block of Hillsboro Boulevard until 1 p.m.

For those hire, ALDI said store manager trainee positions pay $20 per hour and shift managers make between $10 and 13.50 per hour.

Typically discount grocery stores are smaller, have few brand names and shoppers have to bag their own groceries. And while they may not have fancy bakeries or deli counters, shoppers can find items like canned vegetables for under 50-cents.

ALDI is also able to keep prices low by selling private label brands meaning the brands are specific to those stores.

ALDI has more than 11-hundred stores in 30 states.
