Fla. Flight Land Safely In Mass. After Lightning Strike
BOSTON (CBS4) -A JetBlue flight that departed from Tampa for Boston landed safely after it was struck by lightning, according to a spokesperson for Boston's Logan International Airport.
The Tampa flight and another plane were affected by the lighting, but landed safely.
Massachusetts Port Authority spokeswoman Lisa Langone said the JetBlue flight from Tampa, landed just after 9:20 p.m. Friday. She said the pilots reported smelling smoke in the cockpit.
About a half-hour later, a JetBlue flight from Baltimore landed in Boston after being struck by lightning.
No one was injured on either flight.
