1 Dead, 2 Injured After Oakland Park Shooting

OAKLAND PARK (CBS4)- One person was killed and two others were taken to the hospital after an early morning shooting Saturday, police said.

According to Broward Sheriff's Office PIO Veda Coleman-Wright, the shooting occurred shortly after 4 a.m. at the 1500 Block of West Oakland Park Blvd.

Police said two vehicles were involved in the shooting. Five adult males were in one car and and an "unknown number" were in the other car where the shots were fired.

When police arrived at the scene they discovered one person dead and two others injured from gun shot wounds.

The suspects fled the scene, police said.

The two injured men were transported to Broward General. The other two occupants in the vehicle were not injured, according to police.

One of the men is in critical condition. The other is suffering from non-life threatening injuries, Coleman-Wright said.

Police continue to investigate the shooting. No one is in custody.
