FSU-UM Game Not Likely For Labor Day

TALLAHASSEE (CBS4) - While there have been rumblings the University of Miami wanted to move the annual game against Florida State to Labor Day; it doesn't look like it will come to fruition for the 2011 season.

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, FSU's first opponent in 2011 is currently scheduled to be Louisiana-Monroe. The athletic director for ULM said FSU hasn't contacted the school about rescheduling the game.

In addition, the ACC is about to release the 2011 conference schedule by the middle of next week. So if a change was going to be made, it would have to be made before then.

FSU also plays Charleston Southern on September 10 before welcoming in the Oklahoma Sooners into Doak Campbell Stadium on September 17.

The Seminoles also announced its annual Garnet & Gold spring game will be played on April 16 at 4 p.m.
