Boil Water Order Lifted For Parts of Miami

MIAMI (CBS4) – A precautionary boil water order issued on Thursday has been lifted Saturday for the area of Brickell Avenue from Southeast 8th Street to 14th Street.

It is now okay for residents to drink and cook with the water, according to Jennifer Messemer, spokeswoman for the City and the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department.

The initial boil water order was issued after a contractor broke a water main on Brickell Avenue and Southeast 12th Street, resulting in water service being shut down to the area.

The water main has been repaired, restoring service to the area later Thursday.

Questions and concerns can be directed to the Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department at 305-274-9272, 24 hours a day.
