Piano Teacher Accused Of Molestation Changes Tune

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - A Tamarac piano teacher jailed in Broward on child molestation charges has accepted a plea deal from prosecutors.

On Tuesday 38-year old David Layman pled guilty and was sentenced to seven years in prison. After serving his time, he will spend 15 years on sex offender probation and give up his teaching license.

Layman reportedly fondled four boys, ages seven to nine years old, at either Imagine Charter School in Weston where he taught or during private lesson.

Layman, who had been charged with seven counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, faced the possibility of life in prison if he had been convicted.
