MIAMI (CBS4) – People who cannot afford a flu shot this year are getting a little help from Walgreens and Uncle Sam.

The pharmacy donated thousands of vouchers for free flu shots to uninsured residents in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beah Counties, according to CBS4 news partners The Miami Herald.

Between 10,000 and 25,000 vouchers are available in each county and are being distributed by the U.S Department of Health and Human Services.

Recipients may request a single voucher or request multiple, depending on the size of their families.

The shots are administered at any Walgreens location at no cost.
