WEST PARK (CBS4) - A Broward Sheriff's Fire Rescue firefighter was transported to the hospital after suffering from chest pains while fighting a house fire in West Park.
Broward Sheriff's Office spokesperson Mike Jachles says a passerby reported a home on fire at 42 Sutton Road in West Park just before 5 p.m. Monday. The home was vacant and boarded up at the time.
During the course of fighting the blaze, a firefighter reported having chest pains and was immediately transported to Memorial Regional Hospital to be checked out. He is said to be in stable condition.
Jachles says the flames were knocked down in just under 15 minutes.
