S. Fla. Flights Back On Track As Snow Moves Out

MIAMI (CBS4) - Good news for travelers stuck at South Florida's airports because of snow up north.

Flights are once again leaving on schedule as a strong winter storm system which blanketed the South and Northeast moves away from the region.

At Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport only four incoming flights were canceled Thursday morning; the flights were from Boston, Hartford and LaGaurdia in New York. Airport officials said all Departures were scheduled to take off on time.

At Miami-International Airport, spokesman said only one flight to and one flight from Baltimore was canceled.

Since Sunday hundreds of flights into Miami International and Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International were canceled as airports from Atlanta up the east coast to Maine dealt with snow and whipping winds.
