KEY WEST (CBS4) — Want the long and short of it this New Year’s Eve? Watch the Key West Dachshund Walk, an annual event that creates a “wiener wonderland”.

About 200 of the little canines walked their owners around the island city’s Old Town district and famous Duval Street Friday afternoon as part of an annual family-oriented prelude to the louder, more robust partying that will take place as midnight approaches.

Many of the dachshunds were dressed as wieners in buns, court jesters, or even flower power hippie for the occasion.
