DORAL (CBS4) – Police negotiators are at a Doral apartment building trying to coax out a gun wielding man who may be holding a hostage.
Doral Police Chief Ricky Gomez says on Tuesday evening a couple was having a domestic dispute outside the apartment complex in the area of Northwest 107th Avenue and 46th Street. The fight was witnessed by a county processor.
When the processor tried to talk to the man involved in the dispute, the man told the processor to go away and that he had a shotgun. The man then barricaded himself in an apartment
Doral and Miami-Dade Police officers were called to the scene, in addition to hostage negotiators.
After three hours holed inside the apartment, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
