Police Involved Shooting Sends Man To The Hospital
NORTH MIAMI (CBS4) - North Miami Police are investigating an incident where an officer discharged his weapon, sending a man to the hospital.
Lt. Neal Cuevas says North Miami police and Opa-Locka police were in the area of 55 Northeast 132nd Terrace working as part of a multi-agency task force Wednesday night when the shooting occurred.
The victim was transported to Ryder Trauma Center. The victim's condition is not immediately known. No officers were hurt in the shooting.
Neighbors told CBS4's Natalia Zea they heard up to 15 gunshots. They also say there has been a rash of burglaries in the area recently. Police would not comment on why the task force was in the area, or if it had anything to do with the recent crime in the neighborhood.
