Break Out The Sweaters, Cold Snap Headed Our Way

MIAMI (CBS4) - It's after Thanksgiving and temperatures are still hovering in the mid 80s during the day and barely getting into the low 70s at night.

If your one of those people who are just dying for a cold snap, then break out the light jackets and extra blanket. The strongest cold front in weeks will arrive in South Florida by Wednesday evening.

According to CBS4 Chief Meteorologist David Bernard the front will bring a chance for showers through Wednesday afternoon then the humidity and warmer than normal temperatures will be swept away.

Bernard said lows will reach the 50s by Thursday morning. He added that some areas could see upper 40s by Saturday. During the daytime expect lots of cool sun, low humidity and highs only reaching into lower 70s on Thursday and Friday. The weekend should be very nice in the afternoons, with highs in the mid 70s and lows dipping into the mid 50s.
