Masseur Accused Of Inappropriately Touching Woman

WESTON (CBS4) - A Weston masseur is being held without bond after being accused of inappropriately touching and exposing himself to a Virginia woman while giving her massage during a relaxation session.

The woman had booked the "Signature Stress Melter Ritual" at the Red Door Lifestyle Spa in the Hyatt Regency last Friday.

The session costs more than $200.

The woman said she was laying face down receiving a massage as part of the 'stress melter' treatment, which also includes a body wrap and an exfoliation, when the masseur Dayron Escobar, 24, reportedly asked her if she wanted him to stop.

The woman told Broward Sheriff's deputies when she said "No," Escobar touched her inappropriately. She said she immediately jumped up as Escobar apologized, saying he thought she wanted it. He also allegedly asked her if she wanted to take a bath or go into the sauna.

The woman told investigators that is when she noticed Escobar's genitals were exposed. Escobar immediately left the spa.

Sheriff's investigators tracked him down and arrested him on Monday. He's been charged with sexual battery and exposing his sexual organs. He's also been placed on an immigration hold, which is why he is being held without bond.

Escobar had no comment as he came before a Judge in bond court, who ordered him to have no contact with the victim and to not give any more massages for now if and when he gets out of jail.

Outside the courtroom, Escobar's unidentified sister defended her brother, saying, "We know this is not true. We are going to get to the bottom of it. Our whole family is with him. We know he's going to come out innocent."

The Red Door Lifestyle Spa said Escobar, who lived in Pembroke Pines, had worked for them for the last four years and have never received a complaint about him.

CBS4's Peter D'Oench was told that no one at the spa would comment about this case right now.

Anyone who believes they may have been touched inappropriately by Escobar during a spa treatment is asked to contact the sheriff's office Special Victims Unit Detective Sandra Haye-Roberts at (954) 321-4230 or Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS (8477).
